About the Conference
Department of Physics, MITWPU Pune is organizing an International Conference on Current Trends in Physics and Photonics (ICCTPP - 2024).Physics is the language of nature and hence quite fascinating in all sciences. The
themes of the conference have been carefully curated to reflect the upcoming and emerging research areas of
core Physics as well as Photonics. Photonics has be-come an attractive subject for research in the recent
times due to its diverse applications in tele-communication, networking, data storage etc.
There is an emphasis on advanced photonics in this conference which is reflected in the themes of lasers,
nonlinear optics, photonic materials, optoe-lectronics among others while the conference gains its inclusive
character in physics with the in-clusion of topics in condensed matter physics, nonlinear dynamics, nuclear
physics, plasma physics, astrophysics, etc.
ICCTPP – 2022 aims to bring together leading academicians, researchers, scientists, practitioners and
professionals from both the industry and the academic background and provide them a platform to exchange
their newest research findings, experiences and views on diverse areas of Physical Sciences. The conference
will include keynote address, plenary talks, invited talks, oral presentation and poster sessions. This
Conference will also provide an oppor-tunity for scholars, researchers, students and stakeholders to publish
research in peer reviewed international Conference Series Journal.
ABOUT MIT-WPU
Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University – Pune promotes the “Culture of Peace” through Value-based “Universal Education System”, with a firm belief that “Union of Science and Spirituality alone will bring peace to mankind”. With the sole objective of meeting the long felt need for a centre of scientific and educational research, which would meet the challenges of the present and the future, MIT Group of Institutions was established in 1983 as a society and charitable trust. Since then, the MIT Group of Institutions has grown exponentially and has made a strong impact in the field of education throughout the country and is known amongst the top education institutions in India. The Founders of MIT Pune, have embarked upon a journey to make their vision of ‘Attaining World Peace through Education’ a reality. A step towards this vision has been that MIT Group of Institutes, Pune has been accorded status of University by name Dr Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune (MIT–WPU). Dr Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University is established under Govt. of Maharashtra Act No. XXXV 2017 and is recognized by UGC. The MIT-WPU provides education in the fields of Science, Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Marine Engineering, Insurance, Distance Education, Telecom Management, Lighting, Design, Food & Technology, Retail Management, Masters in Business Administration, School of Government and School Education. At any given point of time, more than 50,000 students are pursuing various courses across 65+ Institutes of MIT World Peace University through campus programmes.
